ABOUT PROJECT

Nature and Cities Project supported by the program “Turkey - EU Civil Society Dialogue V” coordinated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate of European Union, conducted by the partnership of Nature Conservation Center Foundation (DKM) and Eurosite Association (the Netherlands), in cooperation with Çankaya Municipality and beIN İZ TV. The main objective of the project is to develop the dialogue, knowledge transfer and cooperation between civil society organizations in Turkey and the Netherlands on environmental and sustainable development issues, and to encourage nature-based solutions and green infrastructure in cities in the framework of the the European Union acquis.

Accordingly,

1. European Union countries, the Netherlands nature-based solutions and its experience in green infrastructure that will increase Turkey's knowledge and experience.

• Mapping and evaluating natural ecosystems and ecosystem services in the center of Ankara
• Be shared with technical visits and workshops will be held in both countries' best practices and experience between the Netherlands and Turkey.

2. Nature-based solutions to the city and to encourage the development of green infrastructure will be enhanced dialogue and cooperation between interest groups in Turkey.

• Nature-based solutions in cities in Turkey and regulation of meetings and workshops for the establishment of green infrastructure platform.

3. Cooperation protocols will be signed between Turkish and Dutch NGOs to ensure long-term and continuing cooperation in nature-based solutions and green infrastructure in cities.

• Networking and lobbying for the establishment of international platforms and signing cooperation protocols between groups.

4. Turkey and nature-based solutions in the Netherlands and in green infrastructure issue and Turkey's EU membership will increase awareness of the importance of:

• Netherlands and Turkey experiences about 1 documentary, 1 short film and 2 social media film preparation.
  Preparation of source materials.
• In the Netherlands to promote the importance of Turkey's EU membership, making the exhibition of Turkey's natural values.
• Organizing Nature Based Solutions and Green Infrastructure International Workshop in Cities in Ankara.
• Preparation of the project website, social media accounts and project visibility materials for the promotion of the project and effective communication among stakeholders.
